Hotels vs. Condos vs. Vacations Only

When traveling, a lot of thought goes into your accommodations, after all, this will be the place you call home for the next week or two and you want it to be clean, comfortable and affordable.

 

 

For short trips, business trips or when traveling alone, hotel rooms are most appropriate. They typically offer one or two beds, a TV and a bathroom which is usually perfect for those who only plan on using the room for sleeping and showering. Timeshares or condo rentals are a more appropriate choice for families and extended getaways. When you rent timeshare, or a condo, they will usually have separate bedrooms, kitchens, living areas, dining areas and patios.

These suites often come in 1, 2 or 3 bedroom layouts and can sleep as many as 12 people. Lock-out units may also be available which may provide the ultimate in privacy while also being appropriate when traveling with adult children or when travelling with another family.

Situated within beautiful resorts, the amenities are usually impressive. Swimming pools, tennis courts, golf courses, basketball courts, spas and much more are plentiful with timeshare rentals. Timeshares are often located in the heart of the action in popular vacation destinations.

Vacation homes are a great choice for any family but work especially well for large families, multiple families or family reunions. Just like your own home, there are multiple bedrooms, bathrooms and a kitchen area, living area, dining room and patio, often with a private pool and hot tub in sunny destinations. This is the ultimate in privacy and comfort with plenty of room for everyone to spread out, just like at home. Vacation homes may not be in the heart of the action, but they are usually just a short drive away.
